What if you had HIV and had nowhere else to turn? What if a paid electric bill or help with a new apartment could make a world of difference? You can be a lifeline for the most vulnerable people living with HIV by donating or participating in AIDS Walk Philly.
Your support helps us make small grants (averaging just $440) for the most vulnerable of those living with HIV: those who find their health threatened because of impending evictions or the loss of health insurance or utilities. We know that you can’t maintain your health when you don’t have a roof over your head, a bed to sleep in, or access to regular health care. We also now know that the medicines that help people with HIV live long and healthy lives also keep them from passing the virus on to others.
You can make a difference in keeping someone’s heat on in the winter, moving someone from homelessness to permanent housing, or maintaining someone’s medical insurance.
Join us every year on the third Sunday in October for AIDS Walk Philly. Donate or register to walk or volunteer today!
