Participating with a team is the best way to raise the most money for HIV/AIDS. It's also the most fun!
AIDS Walk Philly Teams are simply groups of fundraising participants. Teams can represent companies, schools, organizations, communities, or even just a group of your friends and family. A team can be made up of any combination walkers and volunteers.
To join an already-existing team, register for this year's event as a Walker or Volunteer and include your team number when prompted. If you'd like to be a Team Captain and/or are considering creating a new team, check out our Team Captain Center!
Participating in AIDS Walk Philly is a unique chance to educate others about HIV and AIDS. You can request a rep from AIDS Fund to talk about the event and the impact of AIDS on our communities, send an email to teams@aidswalkphilly to make further arrangements. Forming a team at your company, school, or organization helps to educate others that AIDS is still a serious threat and gives you and your teammates an opportunity to talk to others about the importance of education and prevention.
It is a powerful show of solidarity to see businesses, congregations, schools, neighborhoods, and families all committed to raising funds for AIDS prevention, education, and direct care services. Your team’s virtual presence will demonstrate your organization’s commitment to your community. No one should feel alone in the fight against AIDS.
People who walk as part of a team raise more money. Team members help to recruit additional walkers and encourage others to meet their fundraising goals.
Walking with a team is fun and helps make the 5 kilometers pass quickly. A team can also be a great morale booster for your organization.
